Every square inch of the ultra-thin GORE-TEX membrane (about 0.01mm) has 9 billion pores, each 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water. These same pores are also 700 times bigger than water vapor molecules, allowing sweat and steam to escape during strenuous activity. This membrane is laminated between several layers of fabric, and GORE-TEX divides these laminates in to three different groups: “MOST BREATHABLE LAMINATES”, “MORE SEASONS LAMINATES” and “INSULATED LAMINATES”.

This durable, and highly insulated, waterproof laminate offers supreme protection without adding bulk or limiting mobility in cold weather. Ideal for use in conditions from mild to freezing, the insulated comfort membranes provide a combination of protection and breathability, mitigating the effects of perspiration and keeping feet comfortable, warm, and dry.

Waterproof, windproof, and breathable, this GORE-TEX laminate is seamlessly integrated into our Anaconda INV FIT GTX speed hikers. The unique, flexible construction offers a light, yet sturdy footwear experience, creating fewer pressure points across the foot, thereby ensuring comfort. Residual steam from physical exertion can escape easily through the porous laminate, keeping you cool and comfortable, allowing a faster drying taime, and helping to keep the components fresh.
